Dear Minister,

On behalf of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, World Commission on Protected Areas Mountains Biome, I would like to extend our congratulations for you and your Government's decision to remove cattle grazing from the Victorian Alpine National Park. This is a very important and fundamental decision. It will directly contribute to the conservation of the natural heritage of the Victorian Alpine National Park. It is a decision which will have intergenerational benefits, and will directly benefit biodiversity conservation and catchment stability. We will be providing recognition for this historic and outstanding conservation decision globally.

Yours faithfully,
